Morbid! The Horrendous Hobo!!! is the debut album collection of parody song lyrics by Every Ape and His Brother. The premise of the album comes from a sketching of a hobo zombie being hanged, the original sketch of which dates back to 1997.

HistoryEdit

The parodies on this album were written over a period of time ranging from 2003-2007, most of them in 2006. They were the beginnings of the Every Ape experiment. The first song to be submitted anywhere online was "The Only Resort," which was submitted to AmIRight's website in 2003.[1] This was followed by "Why She Said 'Seven Days'" a few months later.[2] Later projects from this album would be submitted by the username BulldozerBegins at AmIRight. Once Every Ape formed a MySpace page, the contents thereof were then compiled with other parodies onto an album. The artwork was created in Adobe Photoshop Elements 1.0 in December of 2006.

In October of 2006, the song "Doughboy" was performed live for the Midnight Madness event at the Ferris State University Student Recreation Center. "Lower!!!" would first be performed in the Bond Hall lobby of the same campus in April of 2008. The song "Let the Elements Shine Down" was written in May of 2007, and completes the album.

Album's fictional storyEdit

In the opening to the album, Morbid is a Hobo Zombie that is being hanged by a lynch mob for the crime of "being too hideous." Upon being hanged, he is asked to give his last words before the noose is dropped. His last words are: "The tape!"

The crowd looks on the ground to find an audio cassette tape. The contents of the tape are the parody songs that make up the album. Morbid survives the hanging and vanishes, to the terror of the entire town.

When an exec is told to attend a red-carpet event in Hollywood and that "every ape and his brother will be there," the phrase "Every Ape" becomes the origin of the "band's" name; and Morbid is part of that "every ape" in the crowd. Following immediately behind him in line is an elephant named Elefante Elegante Interesante Importante, which becomes the name of the second album collection of parodies.
