"The Fox 32 promotional 2010 ad" is an advertisement for Ferris State Live aimed for release on Fox 32 of Cadillac on January 29th of 2010. It was produced by TVPR 499 students Nate Totten and Ben Wyman.


The ad opened with the college boasting that it had opened shop 125 years earlier. This was soon followed up with a list of values Ferris claims to stand for:

  • Innovative education
  • Culture
  • Collaboration
  • Excellence
  • Small town values
  • Big Opportunities

The announcer then goes on to claim that "future minds of the world" are shaped by going to Ferris. Showing split-second clips of Scott, Leah, and at least one guest, the ad then explains that it's about Ferris State Live. It alerts viewers that they can watch FSL on Thursday nights at 10:30 PM. The ad's run both begins and ends with shots of a metallic globe, one that's located not far form the Rankin Center.


Nate and Ben were originally assigned roles: Ben would be the top producer and Nate would be the main editor. In the end, both did about the same amount of work shooting video and editing it together.


The soundtrack is believed to be by Gene Michael Productions. An exact song positive identification has yet to be made.
