Ciem: Vigilante Centipede: The Album is a digital playlist that functioned as an unofficial soundtrack for Ciem: Vigilante Centipede. It is a follow-up to Music For and Inspirational to Ciem, which was a playlist made for the webcomic version of Ciem. The music choices on this album reflect a new sound and direction for the book, and any movie that would have been based off of it. This was to aid in the creation of a whole new Gerosha Chronicles overall, a departure from the webcomic's universal feel. While the album was completed, the book it was for was eventually canceled in favor of the series Sodality.

NotesEdit

This song was originally going to be on the soundtrack to the webcomic version. It was moved here to replace "Ready to Fall" by Rise Against, in protest of that group's negative view of US troops. "Sleep" was also first referenced in the Despair Gerosha version of the webcomic in 2006. It is the theme song for Candi's struggle to get to the hospital while in labor with Angie, even as she's mourning the loss of Denny. Not available on the Playlist.com version. This song is also track #3 in Music For and Inspirational to Ciem.

†† Used in reference to Candi's training montage while in Arizona.

††† Not available on the Playlist.com version.

†††† The YouTube version has a cover band, since no decent recording of the original could be located.

††††† (Mashup of "The Shooting Star That Destroyed Us" by A Static Lullaby and "Vampires Will Never Hurt You" by My Chemical Romance)

HistoryEdit

The first draft version of this album was titled Soundtrack to Ciem: Vigilante Centipede, and was released in April of 2011. The revised version was completed on July 12th of 2012, a little over a year later. It featured most of the same songs, but with a few exceptions. Songs that were going to feature on this album had at one point been selected for Music For and Inspirational to Ciem 3. This included "The Flame" by Cheap Trick, "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon, and more.

"City Lights" by Husky Rescue was going to be included, but was eventually abandoned. "Sleep" by Story of the Year was added in homage to Despair Gerosha, as some of the plot elements explored in Comprehensive Gerosha's version of the Ciem mythos have more in common with Despair Gerosha than the more lighthearted Prime and Classic versions.
